How it works

From a playlist to a rehearsal-ready score in three steps.

Writing a medley by hand means hours of transcribing, finding keys that fit, and gluing songs together. Medley Writer does the heavy lifting so you can spend the time making it yours.

01

Add your songs

Upload MP3, WAV or FLAC files. Each one is split into vocals, drums, bass, guitar and keys, and its key, tempo and sections are detected.

02

Choose parts and order

Pick the chorus of one song, the verse of the next. Drag them into order and Medley Writer builds the transitions: key changes, tempo ramps, drum fills, turnarounds.

03

Get the full arrangement

A complete score for your line-up, one continuous piece. Listen to it, fix anything in the editor, then print parts or export to MuseScore, Sibelius, Dorico or your DAW.

Features

Everything between the recording and the music stand.

Studio-grade stem separation

State-of-the-art separation models pull vocals, drums, bass, guitar and keys apart, so each part of the score follows its own instrument instead of guessing from the full mix. Solo or mute any stem to check by ear.

Audio to sheet music, for every part

Melody, chords, bass lines, piano voicings and drum grooves, transcribed on a steady bar grid with swing and 3/4 detected. Smart clean-up removes stray notes and octave slips.

Transitions that land

Moving from G at 112 BPM to A at 118? Pick a drum fill, a pivot chord or a 2-bar turnaround and the score handles the modulation.

Restyle in one click

Switch the whole medley between pop, ballad, rock, folk and waltz. The parts are rewritten to fit the feel, not just re-labelled.

Comment, and the AI reworks it

"Make the build-up into song two bigger." Leave a note on any bar and only those bars are rewritten, with a preview before you accept.

A score editor that keeps up

Click a note to change it, type chords, transpose bars, set key and tempo per song. Hear it back with real instrument sounds, or next to the original recording.

Written for your line-up

Voice, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, violin, cello, trumpet and accordion, in playable ranges and the right transposition.

PDF, MusicXML, MIDI

Print the full score and a part for each player, or continue in MuseScore, Sibelius, Dorico, Logic or Ableton.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does Medley Writer do?

You upload a few songs, pick the section you want from each and the order, and Medley Writer writes one continuous medley arrangement as sheet music for every instrument in your band, with transitions that bridge the keys and tempos.

Which files can I upload?

MP3, WAV and FLAC recordings. Each song is separated into vocals, drums, bass, guitar and keys before it is transcribed. YouTube links are on the roadmap.

Which instruments can it write for?

Voice, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, violin, cello, trumpet and accordion. You choose the line-up for the whole medley or per song.

Can I export to MuseScore, Sibelius or Dorico?

Yes. Export MusicXML for any notation app, MIDI for your DAW, or print the PDF score and individual parts.

How accurate is the transcription?

It gives a strong first draft, not a perfect copy of the record. Clean-up removes stray notes, and the built-in editor lets you fix notes, chords, key and tempo, or leave a comment and let the AI rework those bars.

Can I use any song?

Use recordings you have the right to use. Medley Writer is a tool for arranging music for your own practice, teaching and performances; performing covers in public is usually covered by the venue's licence with your local rights society. Your uploads stay private to your account.

When can I use it?

Medley Writer is in private beta. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when your invite is ready. Invites go out in order of signup.
